Have A Beautiful Day By: Noah Eaton 3/28/01 Come and soar with me Up into this beautiful morning Hop aboard my magic carpet ride Into friendship’s fairy-land we will gently fly Invite all your loved ones along In the dance of the white dove may we all bond Roll on the hillsides, get your hands and feet dirty Lay with me under these sunny skies and dream May the children of the world sing and play Rise and shine everyday All you lovers, share all the love you’ve got Carry on the faith, dancing on through the break of dawn Watch the clouds drift through the air Pirouette and let the rain moisten your hair Hear the robins and the larks Chirp doo-wop in the park Declare cheers, and let’s raise a toast Peace and love to all our signature boast For every dead-end’s followed with a born-again Rise now, let that special smile be shed Sing with me, O’ dear friend With the spirit of the robins, let us share amends Sing with me, blue sweet world May peace and love fill all, sharing it with all our boys and girls Love is all you need, love is everything You’ve got the power, let your soul’s bell ring Together may we all sing in harmony May love fill all our hearts, and I wish you all... It was a stormy today, yet because I was able to stay dry and read poetry all day, I thought of it as a Beautiful Day. Thank you for your poem. |
