The mind empty lacks all sensation Seeking now poetic inspiration John Drury sits unopened here Writers block, my biggest fear Teachers say - write that you know of Sadness, joy, hate or even love But if there is a void of those How can I write my poetry or prose? I seek music to soothe this burning desire “come on” Jose, ‘Light My Fire’! Nothing then but keyboard and screen Venting now, my poetic spleen. |

I am all too familiar with this predicament. It really is exasperating, isn't it?! Good vent! |

Well! I guess we can't always have Baked Stuffed Lobster. Although I find nothing wrong with peanut butter and jelly. Roger |

Poet deVine I thought this was wonderful. The title attracted my attention as I had my spleen removed when I was 8 and I was curious what the poem was about. I'm glad I stopped and read it. Thank you......Sue Suetang |

I had writer's block for nearly ten years....actually, just didn't have the desire to write until sometime last year. Now when I'm blocked, I read, read, read. It seems to help. Wow, Feliciano's "Light My Fire". I loved that album so much I think I wore it out. I should go buy it again. Nice one, PdV. Mike |

Now yassee, PDV... if you were as lazy as me, you'd nap through writer's block and not worry about it (but then, that first line is my norm!) *G* Instead, you create even when you're mourning your lack of creativity. LOL. This is delightful! *S* [This message has been edited by suthern (edited 05-17-2001).] |
