You Can Bet On It ! ~*Marge Tindal*~ When night winds blow and shadows fall across my window sill, will I still want you by my side? You can bet I will. When you are far away from me and I walk alone on the moonlit hill, will my thoughts turn to you? You can bet they will. When I lay down to rest with thoughts of you in my head still, will I reach out to touch you? It's a sure-bet I will. When morning comes and I awaken slowly, will I stay a moment longer ... until you gently turn to me? You can bet I will. When you wrap your arms around me and it gives me a thrill, will I still offer myself to you? You can bet I will. When holding on tight gives me such joy, and at the chance of sounding just a wee bit crass, will I still want you just as much? You can bet your sweet ... . . . . . . . . . . booty !  ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |
