My wandering foot gets to itching,
As they are known to do,
I dream and long for far off places,
New horizons, discovery, adventures true.

An Egyptian sunset,
The Nile coloured a brilliant gold hue,
The breathtaking green of olde Ireland,
Seeing a bonny lass smile just for you.

The rolling gold of the Heather,
Scotland's forboding Lochness,
The bagpipes singeing the distant memories,
Of perhaps another life, my past tense.

The history of old England,
The land from whence Australia was born,
From Cripplegate to the farm of Sussex,
Knowing to even see Stonehenge my heart would be torn.

The breathtaking views in the Andes,
Their music always so festive,
On those mountains, so close to God himself,
My very being would know no rest.

The spirituality and beauty of Vietnam,
The rice paddies, the glorious scenes,
Oriental beauties and history,
I'll get there, someday, by whatever means.

How I yearn to see them,
Sometimes so much I even ache,
When my wandering foot gets to itching,
And through my thirst for adventure I long to partake.

One day I hope to see all this,
And much, much more,
With an equally adventuours soul by my side,
One who also wants to open these doors.

This wanderlust it beckons me,
But until I have means to go,
I'll keep reading, learning and listening,
And try to live with this yearning I know....

Good read Isis.
Hold on to that pioneer spirit, and need to see what's over the next hill.
Even today there are many frontiers.
Keep the spirit alive.
Thanks. Billy
