“SWEETNESS OF A MAGNOLIA” by Bill Charles ~~~~ A ‘Willow’ and ‘One That Cried’, I’ve written words about each tree, I wrote of their comfort, when sadness, had overwhelmed me… The ‘Willow’ which caressed, a tender touch, of her gentleness, and the ‘One That Cried’ with me, as I wandered inside, so aimless… But now a tree blooms with sweetness, ‘Magnolia’ is it’s name, with blossoms large, smelling of sweet fragrance, that came… It entered into my senses, and healed this torn spirit, returning it from despair, that was close, to it’s very limit… I never dreamed in a million years, that one of such caring, would ever enter my life, when my broken heart, was so aching… It reminded me of that tree, the one called ‘Magnolia’, for she does, and is tenderly sweet, as it’s fragrant aroma… So now my torn heart is again open, not shut down within, for it was slowly dying in many broken places, where it had been… But now I truly cherish, your caring, and innocent aura, that reminds of the day when I met you, and knew, the “Sweetness Of A Magnolia”… ~~~~ [This message has been edited by Bill Charles (edited 05-13-2001).] |

BillCharles~ I just returned from a walk and stopped to pick the most beautiful 'Saucer' Magnolia bloom~ The sweet, lemony fragrance fills the room as I read your sweet poem. Thanks for sharing. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |

Such compassion you've given to many in this lifetime or in past. To human is to err - but how we learn from it. Her heart was hurting - to much to express. But the essence of Magnolia is there and but MUCH stronger. I will not cast a stone in vengence, but turn the other cheek, for that is the right thing for me to do. For that is me, and vain I am not. I bring an olive branch - but proceeding more causiously. As I've I said before, stand by you I will, it is but your choice. My door is always open. For those who believed in me -May God keep you. There is no fear in love..For perfect love casth out all fear. |

The Magnolia is so sweet and lovely, a symbol of the beauty of the old south, and abounds in the magnificent gardens of Charleston. You brought back sweet memories with this one THank you Liz |
