Deception Lies

Deception, perfidy, deceit, and duplicity
They’re the words that I hear constantly
Loving, tenderness, light, beauty and trust
They’re lying abandoned to quietly rust
And my heart lies there among the heap
I’m lost and forlorn no love can I keep
The tears are falling from my eyes again
And my soul lies ruptured and full of pain

Treacherous, dangerous diseased and wrong
They’re the actions of someone not strong
Delightful touches smiling eyes and heart
They’re all gone, they’ve been blown apart
And my soul lies wrecked and so confused
Not understanding why it’s been refused
The teardrops fall they’re my soul’s sad rain
Leaving me broken I’m dying alone in pain

Hopeless, lost, desolate and twisted torment
They’re the feelings that your soul has sent
Laughter, happiness, joy and surprised delight
They have deserted me flown into the night
And my spirit weeps for the joy it once had
Wandering aimlessly forever feeling so sad
The desolated feelings of being set adrift
I’m tossed so carelessly into hells deep rift
