Can she say goodbye
and not even tell me why?
Why didn't you give me an excuse
when you turned me loose
you silly goose?
In fact or should I say in truth
I'm just not sure anymore,
that sure felt like a slap
when my sweetheart walked out the door.
Why has my basketball missed the hoop?
The stress of this mess shall
yearn on for truth.
Will I wait from here to eternity
til fate brings my lover back to me?
Would you?
Could you?

Should I?
I will wait.
But will she
return to me?
And while I'm waiting.
