Awakening sounds
Songs of morning tempting me
Lifting the night's gloom.

Remnants before me
In need of piecing comfort
Day quilting in you.

Laid out in advance
Moments of escape, playing
Into your echoes.

A lovely piece, and perhaps, change quilting [count two] to quilts [count one] would work?
