STORMY DAY AT SCHOOL Virginia Salter thunder, lightening crackling lights children squealing fear, delight torrential rains spouting down puddles rising all ‘round town ‘binkies’ too, too far away “rain come at night when I don’t play! when I’m home and in my bed coverin’ up my scaredy head and my teddy holds me near ‘n’ I can see my grammy clear! © May 9, 2000 |
