The One You've Looked Up To............

When the one you've looked up to all your life,
Turns on you and now causes you so much strife,
You've forgiven them so many times until it hurt,
But each time you do that same person you forgave rubs your face in the dirt.
When the one you've always looked up to thinks money is more important than you.
Again you forgive, but still it doesnt seem to matter what you say or do.
You had always thought that family was to mean more,
And now you find, to them it doesn't, and you now come to a slammed door.
This person had always preached Family was more than just a word,
But they never really listened to themself and never really heard.
You find that your true family is the one God has now Blessed you with,
Not the one you had always looked up to,
Now you know that person and their love for you was just a myth.

Without the experiance of love where would we be? We would have no memories to cherish.
With love it brings hurt with hurt bittersweet memories.

Heather, with time it will feel better. I hope you never give up on them. Some day, they may surprise you, but if not, what have you really lost? You are still you. You still have your love family. You still know God is the same and won't let you down. Girl, let the hurt go and enjoy what you have! You are special and don't forget it. Hugs, ME
