Anything
I would just
Want to be
Something
Special
To someone
Somewhere
If I could have
Anything
I would just
Want to have
You hold me
If I could give
Anything
I wanted to
I would give
You ~ me
You would be
The owner of
My Heart
My Mind
My Love
For as long
As you would
Have me to hold
When you
Tire of me
When you decide
To move on
With out me
Just tell me
Why you
Feel you
Must go
The pain
Would not be
As bad
As it would be
If I didn’t know
And when you
Do leave
Don’t be sad
For me
Cause you
Have given me
The one thing
In life I had
Missing
The knowledge
That for a moment
In Time
I was something
Special
To Someone

We all want to be something to that someone special...you wrote this so perfectly...the want, the need, the ache to be loved...

i really enjoyed this alan...definitely something we've all felt....
i especially liked the spacing - it added to the feel of the poem.
