Without Words

The morning comes
Like so many before
And I am empty
Of its pleasures
If my strength could,
Just push it back
Push the brilliant curtain,
Into the dark
Into the dreaming
Into my heart
The day is so eternal
Congregations of the silent
Voices without words
Voices without touch
Voices of the souls
Trapped in shells
Of crowded loneliness
Just a breath away
From the bliss
The bliss of laughter
The bliss of meaning
Just a breath away
from each other
In the night lives
The memories of
All their faces
The soft kisses
The whispered meanings
Spoken without worry
Spoken in the kisses
Spoken without words
The love of before now
Of other moments
Of other times
Of other ME's

I gather up the night
For its pleasure
For its need,
Cause it still speaks
Without words
To a lonely heart.

Very different format for you.  I like the style and I like the way you convy the emptiness and lonliness.  Great to see you taking time from your busy schedule these days and continueing to write!

hi love  ..thoughtful is this one..
i think we all wish we could muster the strength at times to keep a hold on the night dreams..those moments that "could be"..if only we didnt have to face the awakeness..if only we could push time back into that moment when we were just a breath away from what we really want to touch..

interesting mood change for you

Sudhir, thank you for that wow..

dg, cat got you tongue.

Marina, busy?.. I work for the Government.
Thanks.

SEA, thank you sweety... where may you be tucking it.

dg, yes those damn wishes.... maybe I should click my heels together three times.
Sometimes you just got to get into the mood to write about it.

serenity, thank you so much. You can beam at me anytime....

Just to say thanks to Micheal G for his poem "Once" which I read today and got me into a semi introspective mood mode so I could write this. You poem was great for the inspiration.

Park,

Even the dark side of your work
hums with romance. This is a beautiful poem.

One tiny nit:

"Of other ME's"

should not have an apostrophe.

I really love this one, you should submit it for formal publication.

Corinne, sweet poet.... the spell check came up with that... I never argue with a machine.

I'm just a romantic fanatic...   what would life be without a little romance laced in everywhere..
dark without light
summer without winter
shoes without shoe laces
spam without ..... er yuck!
Ireland without Red Hair...

Thank you for the encouragement. Submit it where?

P-man this is a bittersweet, melancholy, complative piece....
I like the introspective depth of it...
your format and presentation added to its emotes intensity...
very well written with imagery and poetic phrases balancing out the emotions
this is another one I could hear you reading...
(just cant get that voice outta me head)
and ya know what they say about hearing voices *L*
very cool write poet of pedestals

Her hardest hue to hold." ...

Nothing gold can stay."

Sunshine, thank you dear.

Irish Rose, thank you glad you enjoyed.

Hey, browneye's don't be admitting to hearing voices you'll end up in the stute with those strange Justin Looney poets.

But, if you just need talk about these voices.... come to my couch.

thanks Susan... I wish my muse would get inspired again. Maybe my creativity is just directed elsewhere, like sailing.

One day I will return I hope.
