(This is a major rewrite - of a piece I wrote in early '98 - I'd truly be embarassed to reveal the original. - Having a 'real' focus for the words now must have helped.)

I fall into sleep, I feel you seep in
Into all my dreams like steam in the bath
Although I am chilled, cold deep in my bone
I feel your heat wash over me with force
Joy knowing now I'm no longer alone

Total adrift in the sea of your love
Your presence permeates my heart, my soul
Your eyes betray, I see there my yearning
Your smile, a blanket, smothers my senses
Your touch, a struck flint, sets sparks my burning

Stealing my heart disappearing in shade
Your laugh tantalizes, runs in the night
Your body embraces mine, begins fire
Our whispered love words flow in the darkness
Filling me with overwhelming desire

Mingled with chuckles I run seeking you
I see your form, watch your lips making sounds
Catching you, feeling the wetness I crave
Tracing my fingers over your body
Holding you laughing, I'm feeling more brave

Your look in my eyes tells me all I need
You're dreaming too, we're both longing for all
We were seeking through the long cold daylight
Our pulses are racing, kisses a blur
Wanting deep passionate love in the night

Passions are flowing and running amuck
Four hands caressing, they're also clasping
Emotions take charge now, hunger presides
Torrid feelings begin welling from depths
Where our long denied lustiness abides

I'm covered with you, you're covered with me
Darkness o'ershadows in turbulent sea
All we've ever wanted so very much
In this all our words then are drowned away
I'm lost, feel only the love in your touch

The first duty of love is to listen.

Well done, Mr. Yeats.  A great deal of imagery combined with underlying senses that you always manage to bring to the forefront so very well...

a very good read, indeed!

~~Bill~~ As always your charms work their bewitching magic.  Tantalizing drawings you painted. You know I'll keep this in my memory book. L/Passion.

Very romantically sensual poem!  I truly enjoyed this...

to be with you...
I've tried to hide my passion,
but it's just no use...
piece by piece I lose it
when you walk in the room...

Beautiful images Wilfred, wonderful writing.

Truly beautiful imagery, Bill. A definite keeper.

I'd like to see this one with full punctuation, I think it would make it even more perfect.

I only wish I had the passion and the ability you have to express love so beautifully. Surely, you inspire many with your words.
