Involuntary Introspection Yesterday you told me you’d be leaving conviction in your voice shock so apparent on my face that you laughed and asked how long I’d expected you would stay given our nights, given our days Without a moments thought in complete sincerity I weakly answered your incredulity with forever When did I become the words that you used to describe me then in willful ignorance believe there would never be such consequence How did I learn to take your heart so lightly while speaking endlessly, fluently in written word of love forced now to define myself a fraud Today I see that you are right to leave and come to understand I make a better acquaintance than either lover or friend it was somehow right when I sat alone and dreamed of what I’d see When finally I found myself with love I wasn’t who I'd started out to be |

Whoa!!! The epitome of involutary introspection. That's the perfect title for a very well-crafted piece. This is a fantastic poem, JLR! |

Wow! Live for love. Without love, you don't live. |

A ton of truth weighs heavily, and so well said as well. ~*~ I write ~ Therefore I am ~*~ |
