In no way do I suggest that this can compare with a sonnet by Edna St. Vincent Millay, only that I drew from her.

What can love mean - when faced with starvation
What meaning held when racked within by pain
Recollection's memory of passion
Now overridden by the sense of stain

What magic is love that words fuse us through
Without touch without scent we're deep imbued
What can love mean  - is it kind of a flu
What pain can we bear when we know love is true

I consider what I've gained, what I would lose
Would I trade an ounce, which choice would I choose
Your love or freedom from pain is no choice
I know I'll live on just hearing your voice

So doubt not its power just let it flow
I'm revived,  refreshed by your voice's glpw

The first duty of love is to listen.

No choice to be made,
no matter the pain,
love is the choice
we don't make,
but crave - even
as the last sun
set
sets.

One of your best, Bill. Stunning work.

So wonderfully written my friend. LP

Day in Day out...My love for you grows.
Without you, my life would be empty. So I hold my mustard seed of faith in us.
