the world
is a little more quiet
when you are not around
to lift, to sing,
to hold my dreams

but

I know you are there,
in the touch of my heart
to my soul
because you have taken
and made me whole

here all this time

I thought I had been sane
but insanity
I circled, only to find
home in your heart

no longer
no longer do I find myself
holding breath
clinging
oft times strangling,
no
no longer

letters that have been
combined to
form your presence
waft slowly
'cross my eyes
slender threads that only
I might see

and I breathe you in
like steam from a coffee cup
knowing that you are
a coffee mate
enriching all
that I taste,
touch,
feel

you become the caffeine to my
day, charging me with
life
the tingle beneath all
that I might touch

so I smile when I see you,
and when I smile,
you thrill...

as it should be
so it is

write with grace, all others lose face;

Each time I think you can write nothing better - you exceed my expectations -
(that doesn't sound right -let's rephrase I cannot imagine anyone writing poetry I'd enjoy reading more
