Forever Pages ~*Marge Tindal*~ You smile at me from the well-worn pages of an album of precious memories Kodak'd in hues of black and white I smile in colorful recall of a moment The shutter has captured you for always pasting you on forever pages in my heart Time marches on until the magic of the camera commands *halt* Then time stands still ~ forever ~ I flip through you caressing each and every moment of time that you smiled into the lens of my insistence Trying to make sense of why you aren't here but thanking God that you were Bless you for the smiles ~ forever ~ *Inspired by the nostalgic writing of the sister-of-my-heart, Martie~ Thank you, dear. ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |

I just don't understand why Martie gets all these tributes. I mean, sure, she is very intelligent and hard-working and a good wife, not to mention being very pretty and she can write poetry that goes straight to one's heart and touches the soul and, ok, she has the integrity of a priest and is probably the best friend one could ever have...but, take those things away and she's nuttin'!! So what's the big deal, Marge?  |
