Rainbows Return Can you touch a dream, or hold it in your hand? Or will it forever evade you trickling away like sand? Do you hear the music that sings through a heart? Is it the melody or the spirit, which is the vital part? Reach out to hold the wind and it will pass on by And as it passes can you hear in it a breathless sigh? Mist is insubstantial but it’s there clouding clear sight Ethereal and mysterious it confuses and contorts light Is starlight identical, do all stars shine just the same? Or is one very special has it called out your own name? Do you see the magic that’s held in the child’s eyes? Full of wondering mystery, delight and awed surprise Each of us has something special we all have our destiny We are each here for a purpose and that’s no mystery What is our value are we here simply to live and then to die? I believe we are here to love or at least we all should try It’s not for us to ponder the reasons things go wrong We are here to sing, to perform our own life’s song If we can stop focussing on things that cause our fall We would be more receptive to hope and to beauty’s call If we take a few moments to look around and just see Think of the pleasures we’d uncover, imagine the sheer beauty As you pass through this life take the time to stand still Take the chance to stop and then your soul with hope will fill Give back to yourself the time to dream and softly sigh Renew your power to connect and you will then again fly Stop chasing after rainbows let them return to you once more With their return you’ll find your ability to fly, again to soar Pause in the day to contemplate life’s ebb and flow And reflect back to others love’s pure and gentle glow Let love shine it’s light and clear the path of dreary pain And you will be singing and dancing on rainbows once again Marsha Take back the hope you gave,- I claim |

Marsha~ What gentle lifting thoughts ! You've just that that lift-ability ! Thank you for the rainbow dance ... 'Reach out to hold the wind and it will pass on by And as it passes can you hear in it a breathless sigh?' Oh ... I like this thought. Love n' hugs~ ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |
