A heart declaring our love Is etched upon the sand As we stand and admire our artwork We're together, hand in hand The cold wind against our bodies Really doesn't bother me that much As I know I'll never really feel the cold If I have the warmth of your touch You wrap yourself around me I'm imprisoned within your arms How protected do I feel As you keep me safe from harm Seagulls fly above us As they search upon the land We stand and face each other As the waves crash upon the sand But so lost are we in each other We two are just mesmerised The deep blue color of the ocean Is what I see now in your eyes We hear the steady beating of wings As the seagulls take to the skies A look of happiness is what I see As I gaze longingly into your eyes As the night is drawing nearer And the tide moves in so fast We knew our heart in the sand Could not be here to last But our love is locked inside Our hearts, now so content Never will we forget this day Or the treasured times we've spent Suetang |

reminds me of a certian time i spent with the one i loved at myrtle beach. we did this. it was my first ever time at the ocean and she made it special. even though me and her have parted ways when ever i see the sea i think of her. beautiful work. love ya jesse All I feel is hurt and sorrow, praying it'll all be gone by tomorrow but as tomorrow rolls around, another tear hits the ground. |

You've expressed so well for us the love and romance of a beach. I dare a human to resist the pull of tides. Wonderful write. "I am not now that which I have been." |

Irish Rose Thank you and I'm glad you enjoyed my poem. Julian Thank you so much for taking the time to read my work Joyce I get a lot of inspiration for my writing from going to the beach as you can see. latin passion It seems strange to imagine you walking along the beach in June as we freeze here in Australia in our Winter. Then again, it's pretty special walking along the beach any time of the year. Take care one and all Sue Suetang |
