A Girl How was I to know that I would lose her so fast. I trusted in the process of love believing the feelings would grow to last. If I knew perhaps I would have held her a little tighter or touched her a little softer. Tried to memorize her happiness while she was radiant with smiling faces. If aware that my time was short I would have lingered longer in my favorite places. Perhaps I would have kissed her as if this could be the last kiss we would ever share. Surely I would have told her I would love her for a million years and yet she would still be a girl who chose not to care for I surely gave her all my heart and my feelings of love still exist although scattered everywhere. "If I knew perhaps I would have held her a little tighter or touched her a little softer." We never know when the end will be....always love like there is no tomorrow....everyday should be romantic in some way....every kiss should linger....every night should be spent loving....*sigh* this touches many emotions James...... James, you may not remember me but I remember your poetry in the months passed, and one thing I've always sensed is your expression is so deeply heartfelt... This one poem just tugs at my soul... Hugs2uPoetFriend coco |

This breaks my heart... I understand all too well! But all you can do is offer your love... and grieve when it's refused. Well written! |

Tis also a poetic reminder that we must cherish each moment and take nothing for granted... we may not have forever.. we need to live each day like its our last. touching poem James. There are two lasting bequests |
