Each day I checked the site to see,
How my little poem had fared.
I'd posted with trepidation,
Wondering that I dared.

My very soul was lying there
For all other poets to see.
Would it be treated with kindness,
Or sneered at scornfully?

My poem had moved on swiftly,
While garnering some nice comments.
Some friendly folks stopped to read it,
And understood its sense.

Then even I soon forgot it,
As it marched resolutely on.
In just another day or two,
My little gem was gone.

This morning I opened the site,
And there was to my great surprise,
My lost poem revived again.
Could I believe my eyes?

Where has my poem been hiding,
Just waiting so long to be found?
It has arisen and will have
Another go around.

Just like the great resurrection,
That has been promised by our Lord,
My poem, properly buried.
Lived to again be heard.

We all do that I think.  I miss the comments the authors made in response to ours; Gone since the change was made.

*smile* ...yes... we have several members who faithfully come in and read from back pages forward trying to read all they missed.
Its a nice surprise to find one that we thought was long gone sent back up for another go round....
this forum moves so quickly now...
we all miss poems we may want to read.
sweet and sincere write Joyce.

Though my soul may sit in darkness,
It will arise in perfect light.
For I have loved the stars too fondly ...
To be fearful of the night.

I like this very much, Joyce! *S* As fast as this place moves, it's inevitable that some treasures will be lost... I'm glad yours had another chance to be seen... especially since that gave us another gem from your pen! *S*

It is a fast paced forum isn't it?  I feel like I could personally use a "resurrection" right about now.....big sigh from Indiana here.
