One cool winter afternoon, while writing verse
I travelled to imaginationville on a quick nap train
and I saw you there smiling on my presence,
looking at me with such tenderness.
We wrapped ourselves in satin sheets
and could hear our heartbeats talk
and I reached for you and smiled.
Then I imagined we were in a timeless stream
somewhere from the past, we were a lonely king and queen,
and that really blew my mind!
The fact that we were royalty and noble but so alone.
Did we have servants of the kind loyal type
and where were they?
I was struck with shock as suddenly
the worst of the servant bards
quoting William's black MacBeth
held a sword above your neck!
I reached out across the silky ocean
and screamed NO! to the world
I woke abruptly!
beside my favourite girl.
You gave me inviting looks and reached to stroke my face
soft strokes long and smooth full of cozy love
for many years you'd been my lady and my lover.
You whispered in my ear in a familiar tone
you said, "come to me I'm going crazy!"

I pulled you to my chest and kissed your words
now I'm going crazy
or is this still a dream?
Now here's where I know I'm raising up to roam the meadow
so I'm not still dreaming
and as I pressed hard I heard you say
"come to me I'm goin crazy!"

I could feel the flames of passion devouring my thighs
as your velvet skin lay exposed before me
the fire within blazing hot!
A droopy eyed smile on your face.....
You melt in my arms,
your cherry flavoured tongue probing mine!!!!!
and then, deep within........
I hear your voice pleading loudly!
"The kids are home from school!!"
and I wake up to see my favourite girl
"You promised to take them skating!!" she says
half smiling like she knew where we'd just been.
.
This is a rewrite from one of the opens I don't remember which one.

The role of poetry is to utter the un-utterable; to open up
spaces of consciousness and resistance; to language oppressions; to
re-language historie

youre such a tease LOL
way cool E-babes ....
very clever theme and employ of dream and imagery...
and yes... she knew... we chicks always know

Though my soul may sit in darkness,
It will arise in perfect light.
For I have loved the stars too fondly ...
To be fearful of the night.

What a cruel cruel cruel tease! Oh the imagery that you laid before me was just too tempting to pass up. Lovely and humorous all together.
