Buffet of Lampoon

Love has pressed around like trees
Dripping dress of filigrees.
Smothering my little glen
My freedom of where and when

Larks have flown above rosewood
Dropping petals where I stood.
Filling thoughts with misty mist
Tweaking me a little twist.

My mind has gone pleasures preen
Gone within the phantom scene
And I am lost to all but love
Holding me in velvet glove.

Oh Princess of my lovers wile
Come join me on the river Nile.
Descend from heaven come and sit.
Before I die and lose my wit.

I sail in sorrow cannot steer
For you are there and I am here.

Edgy wit, charmingly written and so much a voice to be spoken.

Why thank you my nakd love
Is not wit a velvet glove?

Julian,
Charming but not alarming. Thank you for the read and comment.

JM,
Love taking you for a sail. Randy just put on a double saddle. He said why sail when you can fly. WW S
