The Smallest Of Effort (Earth Day Challenge) Voices in the wind once just heard from time to time their tone not so significant, but now they come often with much urgency in their cry’s. Echo’s of those once visible to the naked eye now just facts upon paper tossed into a file cabinet, lost in memory to most except for those few whom take notice of their absence. These voices speak to all on the surface of the earth, sadly most have a deaf ear to their message but for some their cry’s are heard and headed and positive change is being made unfortunately not enough! Mother Nature and the Earth are crying out in pain for they are being raped, undressed, laid naked and barren. Her offspring destroyed upon whim no care taken at the fact they are a precious gifts given freely to all! Mother Nature weather you believe it or not is much more delicate than that of man and when mankind is so blatantly abusive with Her our destruction is imminent. I have not know of anyone or thing on the face of this earth that is more giving and loving towards me than that of Nature herself, and I might add without judgment! In the smallest of ways one can help in Her plight, be it a garden in your own back yard or helping to replant striped fields where once grow majestic forest, to not promoting the destruction of wild life in any manor. You will find that the small amount of effort you bestow upon Her will come back to you ten fold, and to those with deaf ears and fist of rage you shall cry the loudest when Her reckoning takes place. Let there be no misunderstanding if the destruction is not stopped soon she will have vengeance that of a magnitude man has ever seen before! What is so very sad is that if each and every person did the smallest in effort there would be no question of our future or it’s stability, The smallest of effort! What is so very sad is that if each and every person did the smallest in effort there would be no question of our future or it’s stability, The smallest of effort! =================== you are so right Cerenity... if each household practiced a few small tasks each week it would make a huge combined effort and difference.. recycling and water conservation are such easy things to do daily, as is being aware of what we put in the trash and water. Once these things are done a few times they become part of weekly routine. Excellent offering for Earth Day!! I love your imperfections ... I love your everything ... |

You found the answer. Each and everyone of us does his own part. Then and only then will the ruination stop. This is a thoughtful poem. Joyce |

Cerenity, a great message in this piece. The truth is it really doesn't take much if we all put just a little in. Parker |

Cerenity, Such a good message in this. Powerful! Yes, Mother Nature does give back, if only we will allow her to do so. Michael Proust- |

Cerenity~ You are so right on with your message. 'Let there be no misunderstanding if the destruction is not stopped soon she will have vengeance that of a magnitude man has ever seen before!' Amen ... and we all will suffer for the uncaring magnitudes. Wonderful thoughts, dear lady. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |
