When?

When does the hurt stop?
I really have to know …
The pain is overwhelming
And I can’t stand it any longer
When will my heart open?
So I can let someone, anyone in
I’m tired of cringing at the thought
And I’m leery of being alone.
When does skepticism stop?
The negative thoughts of men
And their paper ideals spin
Through my closed mind
No matter how unfair
When does this love go away?
I carry it still in my heart
Waiting I suppose for you
To realize what a fool you’ve been
Wanting you to come back
When does the embarrassment leave?
I know my friends and family
Watch me with those expecting eyes
Waiting for me to breakdown
I feel the stares and I hate it
When can I go back to being me?
And be relaxed enough to smile
Not have an “us” memory
I want to have fun again
I want to not think of you
When will I be free?
I want to be able to hear a song
Without my emotions rising
I want to go out somewhere
Without seeing your ghost follow me
When will I be able to forgive?
I want to move on from this.
I want to have closure and live again.
I want to just be happy.
I want to just be.

you know that i know how you feel. *hugs* and you will love agian. when i dont know. but when you do it will be beautiful and i hope that i can see when that happens. cuz with a heart like yours it will be one of the most beautiful sites on earth. great piece. and the emotions really flow in this one *hugs* i am here for you my friend.
