 Merry Go Round the Optimist I can hear the laughing now the feeling that oh, gee, somehow you get a giggle out of me and my optimistic reality my cup is full and when it’s not it’s still half full but lest you’ve thought at times it’s empty it’s got to be, why, I know where the faucet is, see? now please don’t go round and round with me unless on my merry go round you’d be where the horses dance and prance and glance sideways at my glee, yes come go round this way with me my optimism is all I’ve got that and my talent to smile leaving you for only a moment I’ll come ‘round in style astride the horses or a camel or two or sitting in the monkey’s chair with your face as my view see the mirrors? way up there? and see the reflections in them stare at the very sight of two on my optimistic merry go round they view for this ride is what I make it and you can step off say “I can’t take it” for the circling hope of care makes you dizzy, beyond compare but you see, there’s no straight line for me, as I watch, I come ‘round to see all those who would gaze on me as I have room for more and those who would catch a brass ring adore the laughter that rides round with me so take your pessimism since you can’t see the hope in a circle’s ring with me |

you've captured the rhythm - i felt/feel like i'm rising and falling to the merry=go-rounds's muaic -but more importantly - i'm sharing your thinking - this is excellent |

My foot was a tapping! That poem had so much rhythm, and I should very much like to jump on your merry go 'round, as I always was one for a brass ring! Great poem Sunshine! ~*~ If the want a rainbow ~ you have to put up with a little rain ~*~ |
