Healing DayI long for violet cloverbed in which to stray alone, unmindful of the hours behind or distant sounds from home. One day, complete, to fall away from battle's bitter thorns, to lie near stream of watersong, where thistlefire adorns. At last to feel this sorrow lift, late sun stroke auburn hair, the sky as soft as underwing, afloat and supple there. And rest my head in satinshade of twilight's purple sway, with fingers full of feathercloud on this, my healing day. Could a greater miracle take place than for us to look through each other's eyes for an instant?......Henry David Thoreau |

Thanks all, I've been a bit underweather and haven't been about much, but am enjoying reading so many nice poems here tonight. (o: Sunshine, thank you for reading. You say the nicest things. We all love your poems. (o: JLR, thanks to you for letting me know you read and enjoyed. I appreciate the kind review. Mike, you flatter me. I could learn a thing or two from your celestial compositions ~ I love them. Hope all is well with you, my friend. Miss Marge, your commentary is always so genuine and I thank you for that. So glad you liked my poem. (o: Claire Could a greater miracle take place than for us to look through each other's eyes for an instant?......Henry David Thoreau |

"At last to feel this sorrow lift, late sun stroke auburn hair, the sky as soft as underwing, afloat and supple there." *stands breathless for a moment, then sighs* Claire, in my humble opinion, you are one of the most consistently lovely poets here....your phrasings, your images, the feeling portrayed....I'm in love with your work and this one is no exception. You continue to amaze me. *Krista Knutson* |

If I may say: this is quite good. I was sruck most with your second stanza. Of course the musical reference struck home. Again you present the world with a touch of elegance. And if Clive Bell's theory of art is taken as a model then you have acieved that as well. Ok Time for Kendell to be quiet. Will say only Merci Madame AT "The most redeeming facet of life is that we have the comfort of knowing it will end. Death doth love equally." |

Krista, your appreciation of my work is humbling. Of course, you know I am a fan of your own, as well. Thank you, sincerely. Kendell, no need for quiet, when poetry is the topic, unless it is quiet conversation. (o: Thanks very much for reading. Eagle One, how sweet. Thank you. (o: Sven, our world is what we make it, yes? Thank you, my friend. Cuddlez, many thanks. Yes, some days seem to simply elevate the soul. Best of luck to you, too. Betty Lou, my thanks for your "lovely" ~ and for reading! JellyBKing, glad to have soothed. (o: Thank you very much! Just a Woman, thank you, sincerely. I'm glad you enjoyed reading. James, thank you, and do take care. Lucie, thank you. Days like this must be found ... keep your eyes open. (o: Tradewind, thank you very much for reading, and welcome to Passions.
