They were a silent witness to the one who once was dead. Proof for all to see that he did exactly what he said. Some nails, some thorns, a rugged cross. They thought that he was thru. They pronounced him dead and took him down and lay him in a borrowed tomb. But he did not stay there long. He had promised to rise again. The graveclothes lay inside the tomb where the body once had been. "Why do you look for the living, here amongst the dead?" The men fell down upon their face at the words the angel said. They looked inside the tomb and no body was to be found. Just blood stains and some old graveclothes by themselves upon the ground. They were a silent witness, as they lay upon the floor, that the one who once had laid within was now alive forevermore. [This message has been edited by Tennessee Angel (edited 04-16-2001).] |
