I've given you the best of my love. I'm not perfect,I know. But I have loved you much. My love is, as pure as gold. Some call me foolish, for loving you so. But I'm glad I have, and I don't look back. At times, I've surrendered too much to you. Swallowing my pride, taking you back, hiding my tears and risking allot. But I'm proud of myself. I've survived your love. I've come out, clean. And still able to love. A quarter of a century must pass, for the writer to understand what and why he writes. |

Excellent, and I can well identify with much of your poem from both sides of the coin, unfortunately. |

walker---I'll say it, again. You write love well. I'd rather be a fool for love than a lonely fool anyday. Speak when you are angry--and you'll make the best speech you'll ever regret...Laurence J. Peter |
