The children bathe in sunlight, Grinning from cheek to cheek, Small hands grasping overflowing cones, And the wind teases and romps, Through their hair, They are oblivious to anything, But the happiness of being children, Throwing a glance in the direction of a stranger, Lighting up their face with a smile, Not like us The grown ones so immsersed within our worlds, That we fail to be bold enough to look into someone's eyes, And stare back with a big smile, And maybe even a polite wave. Don't let the day pass by before you smile, Before you say hello to a stranger or two, And carry on a conversation, As if you'd known each other all your lives. Why do we think the friends we had When we were young are the only ones we'll ever have again. Smile at someone, Shake hands with someone, Make a contact. Throw a humorous comment at a frown, And watch the glow spread, Like fire and sweet childlike fun. Dare to compliment someone, On some small detail that you know, Most people find mundane or unimportant. And just once, Play Run together with your other someone, Wrestle and giggle in the sunlight, And bask in the warm exhilarating comfort, That we can all still have fun like children, And know our inner maturity isn't in danger. still d-i-s-c-o-n-n-e-c-t-e-d |

"Play Run together with your other someone, Wrestle and giggle in the sunlight, And bask in the warm exhilarating comfort, That we can all still have fun like children, And know our inner maturity isn't in danger." Oh if only more people could feel like a child before the prejudices and worries of the world set in. Enjoyed very much! |
