Who was I before yesterday? The woman smiling beneath a shrine and oh, how I worshipped it. Draw a line from my eyes to this vision of you…… truth and life. And what is truth and life? Romance intermingled in the soft glow of sunset? No, I prefer to blow the volcano out of the ground with some old-fashioned chemistry! What’s the difference you say? Chemistry makes you forget your name! Romance puts it on a card with flowers. Walk with me, come on, take my hand and we’ll coast along the shoreline, just before sunset, we’ll spread a blanket and make love until the end of moon’s wane and then…..we’ll do it again. For my name was left in yesterday and today I am someone else….. What is my name tomorrow? Oh, my lover, it depends on if you are washed out with the tide of if you, my poet sweet, are still holding me in soft, moist sand as we begin another memory. Or perhaps, chemistry, which ignites the latter. Kay "when the going gets tough, the tough get going." [This message has been edited by Kay (edited 04-13-2001).] |
