To be a poet seems to me- To require, to some degree... Ability to weave one's words, And give them meaning seldom heard. To write, and yet to give it breath- The lilt of love, the sting of death... And of emotion have no dearth- For 'tis the heart, that turns the earth. An artist? Hmmm, what can I say? To work with paint? or stone? or clay? Perhaps to paint a tapestry- Within the minds of you and me? Ah, much I envy those of you- Who paint with words of life and hue, Again I take my pen in hand- And muddle through as best I can. |

Hey, you "muddle" pretty good, Gunslinger. You know what it's about. And do us some more muddlin' before you put that pen down. Kraw' /:-}== |

you have taken me to places I've never been. A poet you are and a picture you do paint within my mind, and for that I do thank you. |

There aren't too many who can equal you in poetic ability, John. Count me among the ones who envy your ability. |

If your poetry is "muddling" I don't even want to know what mine is! Probably 5 below zero on a scale from 1 to 10! Your work is outstanding! Betty Lou Hebert |
