“JUST A SONG” by Bill Charles ~~~~ If I were a bird, sitting alone in a tree, a song I would sing, just for you and me… It would be a happy one, very sweet, and for your tender ear, it would be a treat… I would then fly down, and perch on your arm, touch your lips with a kiss, meaning no harm… And as I flew slowly back, to my lovely tree, my heart would beat happily, for you had kissed me… I fluttered my wings, with all of my delight, as I saw your precious smile, in this morning’s light… Another song would come, from deep within, and I would sing to you softly, over and over, again … ~~~~ |

Ok you can sing to me, but darn it, please quit flying over my car. I'm tired of having to wash it. Really I did like your poem, it's just the dropping of my feathered friends get me down. |

Marge Tindal - and I will sing for you, any day. Thanks for the kind words. Irish Rose - well, I've been hoppin all over the lawn looking for something? Katherine Chandler - thank you for your kind words, and I'm glad that you liked it. Elizabeth - well, I've been doing so many sad ones lately I decided to do an upper. Glad that you liked it. Sven - thanks my friend, glad you could stop by. inot2B - I know, I know. I'll sing you a song, as a matter of fact I just put one to song. And I will quit flying over the car, I'll fly next to it, and doo doo on the highway! I'll even wash the car for you. |
