I Am Becoming Me.... I took that test today and smiled the whole way through A battery of numbers, words, my brain made it's debut. At times, I second guessed myself, for which I now have learned, Never change an answer, when your first response you've turned. I laughed each time I was confused by multi-task assigned. I tried my best to read the thoughts, he meant between the lines. The voice on the recorder left me bristling, blinking more. Fingers holding onto places, thoughts on thoughts to score. I haven't tested, in the last, of twenty years or so. And now I have to try myself, my best I need to show. I dressed up nice, put on a suit, accomplished what I sought. And when I passed, surprised myself, a laugh inside was caught. After all, I wondered why and how I made it through. While testing, all I did was think, I have to conform to The outer world of office life, a "real" job, this would be. Holding proud, I felt right then, I am becoming "Me". And as I was about to leave, a friendly face appeared From long ago, he winked at me, a hug or two, sincere. I told him why I came that day and asked was he in need? Yes, he said, he's waiting for someone, oh yes, indeed. Perhaps my time has come at last, for positive I feel The tide has turned, I'm on my way, to mend the hurt and heal. ~Wynter "The worst prison would be a closed heart". |

Spring is here to sweep aside all of winter's debris. It's time to laugh at wind, don gortex against the rain and sing flowers in bloom for life is beginning once again - a wheel turning over, renewal planted in strong, good earth. Shalom. ~Julian "I am not now that which I have been." |
