In my white wicker chair
Is where I now sit
The air is quite cold
But I don't care one little bit

From the left I hear water
So soothing is its flow
To my right I see my tree fern
It's leaves moving to and fro

Underneath, my grecian goddess
Has maiden hair fern around her waist
As I reach for a sip of my coffee
And savour its rich and delicate taste

I see a dove amongst the dewy grass
Pecking at the bread I left this morn
It is only a few hours ago
That the day began to dawn

The wooden spiral moves so slowly
Back and forth in the breeze
The scent of wattle and gardenia
Almost makes me sneeze

My garden is such a treasure
Opened by the garden gate
A place you can so very easily
Lose track of time and date

Many a day I have come here
A place for me to hide
Oh, how very happy am I
At this place where I reside

Everybody needs a 'happy-place' ...

'Oh, how very happy am I
At this place where I reside'

True, one needs a special place to be happy.
Mine is in my garden too, where, at this time the first rose begins to bloom (Canary Bird) and soon being followed by 200 more, till winter puts them to sleep again.

Nate
Thank you for your kind words.........Sue

Titia
I bet your garden is so very beautiful at this time of year as you go into Spring.  My garden, here in Australia, still has plenty of color, even though we are well into Autumn now. Thank you......Sue
