~*~ Time To Say Goodbye ~*~How can you stand there and tell me, You know how I really feel inside? All the nights I cried myself to sleep, And all the many tears that I hide. How can you stand there and tell me, That everything is going to be all right? I heard you sneak in the back door again, When you thought I was asleep last night. How can you stand there and tell me, You love me when you know it’s a lie? My stomach churns every morning, As you kiss my cold cheek goodbye. How can you stand there and tell me, You still want me as part of your life? You should have thought of that before, Before you decided to cheat on your wife? How can you stand there and tell me, To reconsider, that you want me to stay? Don’t you see leaving you is all about me! You had your time, now I'll just be on my way. How can you stand there and tell me, To listen, that you had a good reason ~ why? A sacred vow to me meant forever, All I can say to you now is 'Goodbye'. It's a good thing this poem was only about a story, and not about your leaving, because I was going to have to drag you right back in to Passions by your whiney little heels.... good write, my friend.... |

One time I went thru this and I tried everything in my power to win her back...told her I would forgive her and it was mostly my fault and all that...it didn't work... Another time I felt exactly as you have felt and I decided to let her go and find the one she desired...I felt that her happiness did not rest with me...nor mine with her. How does one decide if they forgive and try again or just get on with your life...I think who you are and where you are in your experiences determines your choice...James |

Sunshine ~*~ You are too funny...trust me, you are stuck with me that is for sure, I Love You All! Thanks for reading this. Your judgment of what I do means a lot to me (don't be afraid to say it sux too though!) James Michael ~*~ First, thanks for reading, and second, how do you decide...well, I decide this way, I don't share! If you love someone enough that you can still look at them after infidality, then you fix it, if their touch makes you withdraw, you boogy on out of there and fast...just my opinion. (pssst...been married 3 times!) Just A Woman ~*~ Usually mine are mostly just my muse's doing...just a story, but I did my job right if it felt painful, it should be that way...thanks for reading. Doreen ~*~ Me too! That song makes me cry, and Andre Bocelli and Celine Dion doing the Prayer, is good for a whole box of kleenix. Thank you so much for your time (pssst, you do love poems beautifully by the way) Marge ~*~ I shall take that as an extreme compliment from you...you my dear girl are now my number one icon (I have a number 2, and 3, and no I am not telling either!) Luv ya girl! [This message has been edited by Mysteria (edited 03-24-2001).] |
