Crevices of a Dream ©2001 C.G. Ward black tempest: spite crashing despair through veins, puncturing hope with bubbles of divisive intentions. cackling its mocking laughter… calculating the wave of depressive remembrance required to impale comprehension... with the ease of practice it inflicts sleepless nightmares employing the skillset of a demented masseuse. assaulted, I can only yearn toward the power of daytime, the strength of light - for only in the darkness do spirits ascend the chill of my spine to tap into the core of feeling buried beneath the crumblings of metaphorical stone. battling only encourages; reaction provoking stimulation, with tears slicking the path just before despondency... and yet to accept requires strength enough to bear the damnation of desire in the form of a white dress worn for another’s altar. then sometime toward mourning, I wake my morning vow - and though dawn dispels demons, the memories remain. cruising the background of awareness, I curse the night - for its inspiration, for its demands, for its darkness... for its reminders. Amazing what a single bad day can produce, isn't it? |

Bad days... they suck. But how could we appreciate a good day without them? This is excellent writing. I hope today is a better day for you, and hey.. do me a favor? Write about it if it is. I can only imagine how much more beautiful that poem will be. ~PHREAK (hehe) |

"with the ease of practice it inflicts sleepless nightmares employing the skillset of a demented masseuse." Wow! Powerful sentiments Chris, excellent phrasing and flow. The intensity in the emotions coming through, nearly had these words leaping off my screen. An amazing write, much enjoyed! Best wishes and hugs, /Kit |

with tears slicking the path just before despondency... and yet to accept requires strength enough to bear the damnation of desire in the form of a white dress worn for another’s altar. This hit like a javelin... though, I can't decide if its the confirmation or your gift of words. You've gotten your sought after impact, whatever the case may be... *hugs and sighs* What are we going to do with you, rock? And, hey, I can say it too: "It's okay." And it will be. Love you dearly, and I do not desire that to end for any reason. ~pot [This message has been edited by Elizabeth Cor (edited 06-28-2001).] |

I guess it's raining crap all over the world today, C. This is remarkable writing. (I take solace in the fact that if nothing else? My life is excellent writing material.) "battling only encourages; reaction provoking stimulation,..." sort of like quicksand, huh? Sigh with me on that note? And for what it's worth? HUGS too...although I'm sure hugging in quicksand will only speed up the process of sinking! (cheery sonova...gun, ain't I?) |

Redoubtable? *scowls* If I may requote you: "battling only encourages"... watch out for prickly e-mails, Mister. *sigh* Despite me, yes, I like. Your writing has honestly improved in the last six months. Hmm... wonder what that means. Karen: "I take solace in the fact that if nothing else? My life is excellent writing material." Hehe... Wow. Very powerful piece you have here. Though I am sorry that the motivation behind the writing was none too pleasant. Take care. ~verve |
