Forget the food and play the game Let's see if I can be starved sane Thoughts swimming in my mind Throw it up, erase and rewind If only I could purge insanity I could be what I see so candidly Eat my soul and throw it up That's what I think of your love Don't just sit there and stare My hatred's real; my hatred's here Let's play a game of Let's Pretend Let's Pretend that we're friends I'd tell you to go and leave Why must you be so naive? You think I care that you know? Boo-hoo, boo-hoo. Let it go. So I enjoy the thrill of starving myself That doesn't mean I want or need your help Don't try to change me for the final time Quit trying to force-feed me your lines. I don't want or need and I don't care I want my bones pure and bare When you see sunshine, I can't help but see rain The best you can hope for is starving me sane So, what's the difference between me and you? I make you want to help me and you make me puke. I never see the rainbow, only the rain. Let's hope that one day I'll be starved sane. |
