All of my earthly possessions Are contained here in this bag The covering I have on me at night Is a disused old piece of rag The pigeons, they are friends of mine I see them circling in the sky They aren't so quick to judge me Unlike the people passing by My home may be under a bridge Or I may be huddled under a tree Oh, how all you businessmen in your fancy suits Wish you didn't have to look at me I can see the horror on your face As you look at me with disgust I bet you wish a strong wind would come And blow me away like dust But when all is said and done We're of the same human race, you see Just because you have more money Doesn't mean you're better than me A good heart, it has no price tag It is worth much more than gold It's value is certainly priceless It is something that can never be sold So put yourself in my shoes And walk around for a day And please always remember I never wanted it this way Suetang |

Swamp Faeryie Thank you so much for your encouragement and lovely words about my writing. Take care....Sue Eddie Wow, you have read quite a few of my poems I can see and I thank you so much for your words which only inspire me to keep on writing, something I've only been doing since February this year. Take care....Sue Suetang |
