Her surroundings seem so quiet The office stench made her sick She watched the people shuffle down the hall And listened to the big clock tick… She looked out the dull window And saw her dreams floating by Each dream on a single cloud Disappearing into the gray sky On the first white cloud was a picture Of a beautiful wedding day… The church is filled with flowers All her loved ones celebrate The next cloud was house A big white one indeed She saw herself by the garden Carefully planting her seeds The next cloud was the best one yet Floating by like a perfect sail Her husband looked so happy! They decided to name the baby “Abigail”… ...the next cloud was a dark one A picture of the same church from before The church was filled with flowers But no one looked happy anymore… Reality came flooding back Like a whirlwind in her head She thought back to a careless night When only regret lay with her in bed The expressionless nurse looked at her She knew what was on her mind The pinch it barely hurt her at all What hurt more was deep inside Later that week she got the call And heard the emotionless voice on the line She held her breath with all her might Until the voice on the phone said “you’re fine” "I mean that loving you is strange and adored by me throughout..oh no it's you again, blessing you with every kiss..." Beautyful, the way you write, it's intriguing. Captured me until the end, I was free again. Loved it. Yours truly ~Broken~ Oh God! Why the angels fall first? |
