I can feel the power,
It fills and corrupts me,
Degenerating by the hour,
Into deep eternal misery

The two eyes of one,
The two faces in the mirror,
The sanity of none,
And the darkness shall glimmer

I lose myself and embrace
The other self now uncaged,
I touch the unknown face,
Snarling, myself enraged

Madness, it saturates,
I walk out holding the knife,
I shall end their shallow fates,
And take away their life

I am nothing but a horror,
The freak within the mask,
Full of an encroaching terror,
No quarter may you ask

Flee and run, as fast as you can,
Down the alleys, screaming now,
I snicker and watch the fulfilling plan,
Before striking you hard, on the brow

I gag your mouth and tie you tight,
Then draw the knife of death,
I'll send you, to where, there is no light,
As I plunge it in, I watch your last breath

You walked the subway, and failed,
And now I rush away as you are leaving,
Justice this time has not prevailed,
And the family stands grieving

I am a madman, begging for aid,
As I hide in this rotten tunnel,
I think back at the women I waylaid,
And on my knees for forgivness I grovel

I am what I am, I am what you are,
The ethereal side that has taken me,
I am burdened by this dark scar,
And yet, in murder, I know glee

People stare into my eyes,
And they know their latent fear,
They cower as they confess their lies,
Knowing that, death hovers near

They want me, they search hard,
The men in uniform, searching
On the streets, for a clue's shard,
While at the bodies, stomachs are lurching

They are unknown to the men who investigate,
For I sliced them into thin strips,
The lives that I had the need to terminate,
Are lost to this world, like evaporating drips

I feel no remorse for what I have done,
How can I? When I do not know
Who was the blood letting one,
And who struck the knife's blow

This is the curse of having two minds,
You do not know who to blame,
All you do, is close, your eyes like blinds,
And think about, who carries the shame

I hear sirens in the mist,
At last they have found me,
I clench my hand into a murderous fist,
And rush into darkness sanctuary

I hold the winning hand down here,
For they are outsiders of these walls,
The unknowning shall fill them with fear,
While I prepare to answer the blood calls

This is the greatest game, all this is fun,
While they pray and hope to gods above,
Without them or devils I have won,
And my hand is a crimson glove

The blood flows like a river,
The men around gasp in shock,
The sight of death makes them shiver,
As I stare at the life clock

I had outdone them all, until this time,
Now I am cornered like a blind rat,
Success rings in them, like a bell's chime,
While I am ordered to lay flat

On the ground of the tunnel, unarmed,
The men move in and bind my hands,
They curse and spit as I am unharmed,
While death has fallen upon their lands

Yet there is evil in us all,
I am merely a mirror of that,
I walked and into insanity I did fall,
I am no natural killer, like a big cat

I am judged by the men in red,
They stand before me in colours of blood,
And they wonder why people lie dead,
When all around them is evil's flood

I am sent, to a barren, place of stone,
While cold metal locks me down,
I snicker and laugh on my darkness throne,
Wearing, the black and white, royal gown

This is my kingdom, suffering and pain,
No escape for these tortured souls,
Do not try it is all in vain,
For you killed, for that, there are heavy tolls

Forget me not outside world,
You may have won this time,
A warning I sent through six I killed,
Eventually, from the darkness, I'll climb...
