Tired,
So tired
Of maximum effort
To meet the bare minimum
Of expectations.

Then, met with more expectancy.
Demands
Becoming harsh
And judgmental.
Punishing
For having disappointed.

Non-responsive
As the tired horse
Oblivious of the whip.
Numb
As the dead dog
Insensitive to the blows.
