Dry tongued machinery clicking in my ear. Programmed machinery recalls coded dreams. Something about urban things trapped beneath the snow. Winter tombs of street and seas. Sculptures of black ice. Collapsed bridges arc the sun. Clotting smoke is gone. It sings to me in cold command. Its eyes like radio. Dry tongued machinery clicking to a close. Battery depletion. Fragment cluttered speech. A lullaby for robots was then sung to me. Stella was a diver and she was always down. |

Thank you both. This is one of the creepiest things I've written in a while. I'm not 100 percent sure where it came from, either. Only that I had the phrase "Robot lullabies" stuck in my head. Stella was a diver and she was always down. |
