I composed from midnight A haunting melody Of a crimson violin And heard the mocking laughter of A dead child I painted in blood A nightmare’s portrait On gore-flecked canvas And espied the eternal weeping of A broken dream I carved from ice A chimerical statue Of arctic chill And felt the solitude of A winter queen I dredged from corpses A vampiric cuisine Of rot and filth And dined upon the blood of A savior’s body I separated from carrion A warrior perfume Of blood and steel And perceived the essence of A fallen lord I tore from myself A tattered shred Of a poet’s soul And kissed the Angels of Sin -The Angels of Sin |
