Tragically, your shadows have disappeared. The sun, refusing to shine upon the discontent, no longer illuminates your surroundings, creating the boundary of lifeless shape that now is your shade. I'm sorry, you're frayed, you've begun to fade.. I can't save you from yourself. I wouldn't, nor would anyone else for the slip into discontent, (and you, I must say, did so quickly relent), is not a road taken by a poet of worth instead, there's contentment, in the sharing of words. You'll have no company, there, all alone in a place without shadows, where the sun's never shone. WhiteRose 1/18/03 [This message has been edited by WhiteRose (01-18-2003 05:51 PM).] |

"You'll have no company, there, all alone in a place without shadows, where the sun's never shone." I like the title, and the last stanza above makes me wonder: it is so true, what would it be like to be in a place with no shadows, and the sun doesn't shine. That's what defines life - sun and shadows. |
