Child's Dream A freckled-faced child with dreams in his eyes Waits patiently for that most desirable moment The sound of engines roar smelling the exhaust from the show Determined to experience one day the thrill of driving But for now, he'll stay a kid. And learn the lessons of life!!! |

I found this piece to be pleasant and made me remember my childhood. I liked what you wrote, and it's very nice and short. I wouldn't mind seeing an elaboration on the images and smells, but at the same time I liked the briefness/bluntness of this piece. If homosexuality is a disease, let's all call in queer to work: "Hello. Can't work today, still queer." |

Lately here I've been really wishing I was a kid again, I have been kinda down about it and this reminded me of this too. Growing up is so hard and being a child is most of the time easy. Childhood is something kids these days don't hold on too, everyone is ready to grow up instead of live life one day at a time and be kids while they can, then they later regret not being a kid. This was a very nice poem here. LP1 |

Nice write - yes indeed! to be a kid again. I'm a reader - not a writer. |
