The nights always went cold
When my thoughts would lead to you
You were evil and self-centered
Yet you never had a clue
The pain you caused to others
The tears that shed each night
Heartache was always there
Plastered in my sight
Yet you would turn and smile
Not caring in the least
Tearing into my soul
Is how you would feast
Feeding on my eyes
And all I truly loved
Taking away my breathe
While floating from above
Soon your day will come
No more souls left to take
Burning in the flames
As we fling close the gate

A friend, like a candle, is most needed in the darkness.

I like this part,
the image of the gate was really good to finish with.
however one thing, instead of titling it the time, I would've called it siphon kiss.
