Depression

Ice cold water trickling down my neck,
creeping under my skin.
Murky black ships on an inky grey line,
feet in the sand, watching them float.

Horizon, grey sky and grey water meet,
until my eyes close, I will be drowning in grey.
The sand starts to swallow, I cannot move my feet,
listening to the sea crash like glass in the bay.

Helpless now, I'm completely alone,
as the shore creeps closer towards me.
My mind and my body turn to cold charcoal stone,
smelling Death rolling smoothly over the sea.

Where are You now as I sink ever deeper?
all around me,
the water that will be my grave.
The dark holds me close as I submit to death,
my Keeper, lasting the dull bitter taste of the last wave.

serious write... and depression is a serious thing.. I know a littel about it personally.

You describe the feelign well... but I have to ask if that was the intent or if it is cry to help you personally pull out of what you are feeling. If so...speak...I'll listen... or better yet, get real help and don't for what ever reason succumb to the self destructive urges that sometime go with it...

Lonely and dark, Etoile

Sea grey
Sky grey
meet in line
of blurred define

Yet,
there's destination
in need of seek

A life, complete
you still, can find

In this grey evening
you are alive.

Lots of grays in this poem,
and colors suffused.

depression must be good for your writing because this was great. the metamorphosis continued through each stanza was great. as was mentioned earlier, the muted color or lack thereof worked well.
