Ace of Pentacles:
We're hoeing near the mountain,
bringing up the earth's old roots,
to cast within it seeds and coins,
seeds and coins,
seeds and coins.

One will sprout with sweat and time.
The other a new sun's bright eyes.
We're hoeing near the mountain,
and bringing there a garden.

Two of Pentacles:
The sea throws tasks.
Love on its back.

I thought of stopping here.

Three of Pentacles:
I felt the day's soft hands...
I felt the dawn's soft hands...
I fed from dawn's soft hands,

tasting newness in the sky...
testing newness in the sky?
tasting newness in the sky,

lifting crumbs of old demands;

lilting song of where and why...
eating songs of where and why...
eating lights of where and why?
eating lights; their where and why.

Sipping from the noon...
Sipping deep from noon,

light at highest point and then...
light within its bowl and then

forging iron for night's moon,
bone white mask to sleep again!

I fed from dusk's hard soup...
I fed from dusk's dark soup,

spilling ink across the land...
spilling broth across the land.

Leaving colors on the stoop...
Leaving spices on the stoop
and new shadows in my hand!

I fed from dawn's soft hands,
tasting newness in the sky.
Lifting crumbs of old demands;
eating lights, their where and why.

Sipping deep from noon,
light within its bowl and then
forging iron for night's moon,
bone white mask to sleep again.

I fed from dusk's dark soup,
spilling broth across the land.
Leaving spices on the stoop
and new shadows in my hand.

I'm sorry for my jerky behaviour, baby. Oh lord ... I just wrote behaviour. Arrgh! I did it again... Behavior looks wrong now!

I'm sorry for my jerky behaviour, Lori. I should have realized the second I read your response to Impressionen that you got it, even when others didn't.

I gladly genuflect to yr intellect,
and am, for one, glad that you're smarter than me.

Sorry me so stupid sometimes.

I love you.

See? I love you so much that I don't mind making a fool of myself in this forum.

I'm writin' about the Minor Arcana, but really, I'm still at the first card in the deck. :p

I love you.

Yessir, squirrel dude
this looks as if you start to write lyrics as well.

Continued enjoyment, all about my face.

I hope you know I think you are quite brilliant. And? I happen to know I am not alone in that opinion.  Wonderful work---tarot helps to lift some of the veils, does it not?

Brian, thank you. When I wrote "I thought of stopping here," I really meant it!

Serenity, that's so sweet of you to say. But I'm not brilliant. Just ... me. Mikey.

Thank you both, for your words and your friendship.

Quite revealing.  But, may I ask what inspired you to write on this subject?

Thank you, eor.

Amaranthine, go check out the other five One deck laters, and you will have your answer mixed in with the replies. The short answer: I don't know what I was getting into.

Thank you, Sen. I have saved the link so that I may read it in depth later. How long did it take you to find that link?
