Today

On this day
I could not make
my body move,
the all-day news
in the background,
mind replaying the events
as seen a year ago.
My life in disarray,
cannot compare
with the losses
of so many...

Yes, our troubles do seem small,
compared.

Good evening "Mikey". I thought it may be too trite to post in open...it's just a feeling...I only got dressed a few moments ago and it's almost 5 p.m...going to try to go to our State Fair...absorbing all that negativism isn't good for my soul at this time...
I haven't spoken to anyone in two days..and have no voice...that darn cough, you know,
it keeps coming back to haunt me or maybe it's just a sign to tell me I am better off silent. *s

I had fun, stuffed myself with all those fair goodies...ran into friends I haven't seen for years...listened to a karoake singer singing the "oldies but goodies" from a radio station and visited the animals...

but couldn't say much....still...and walked off the stress.
